Our Childbirth Education for Hospital Births course includes 10 hours of comprehensive instruction, divided into four 2.5-hour sessions. Families can choose from three learning formats:
Private Instruction: A personalized four-session series designed for expecting parents and their chosen support person, allowing for individualized discussions, questions, and instruction.
Scheduled Group Classes: Join other expecting families for a four-session educational series featuring interactive learning, hands-on activities, and group discussions.
Private Group Classes: Gather a group of expecting parents for a privately scheduled four-session series, ideal for friends, family members, or community groups who would like to learn together.
All three formats cover the same comprehensive curriculum, with opportunities for discussion, practical exercises, and preparation for hospital childbirth.

This class is designed for expecting parents planning to give birth in a hospital, whether they're preparing for their first baby or looking for a more informed experience with another birth. It's especially beneficial for families who want to better understand their medical options, feel confident advocating for themselves, and actively participate in decisions throughout labor and delivery.
-
We recommend beginning the course between 28 and 34 weeks of pregnancy, allowing plenty of time to complete all four sessions before your expected delivery date. However, families at any stage of pregnancy are welcome to inquire about available classes.

Absolutely! Birth partners and support people are encouraged to participate in the learning process. Several portions of the course focus on practical ways support people can provide physical comfort, emotional reassurance, and advocacy throughout labor. Each ticket is good for one “team” meaning one pregnant person and whom they have chosen to support them.
-
Yes! Our approach to childbirth education is centered on informed decision-making rather than promoting one particular type of birth. We'll explore medicated and unmedicated comfort options, common medical interventions, cesarean delivery, and how to navigate unexpected changes with knowledge and confidence.
-
Throughout the course, you'll learn how to identify your priorities, communicate your preferences, and prepare for different birth scenarios. We'll also explore creating a flexible birth preferences document and developing a practical plan for managing early labor at home.
